Chinese Language Support: What You Need To Know?
China is a country of vivid culture and rich history. It has a history of 4,000 years which can be traced and verified and hence, it is one of the oldest known continuous civilizations of the world. It is because of this rich history and culture that the Chinese language by itself is rich and vivid. There are various dialects and regional languages and it is because of this fact that fining a suitable Chinese language support becomes difficult. Hundreds and even thousands of people actually look for Chinese language support in “Teach Yourself” books available in local markets and bookstores. They eventually get tired.
There are several reasons for this. Firstly, what these people do is to go for spoken language. In order to learn a language, one needs to read it and when it comes to Chinese, you will not only have to read it but also you need to concentrate on the phonetics of the language. Different Chinese dialects have different phonetics involved and they have different character set as well! So, what happens next when you go for a spoken approach? You remember some of the characters and eventually after sometime you forget that because you did not read that. Even worse is the factor that when you watch a Chinese movie (for example), you will not understand most of the Chinese conversation and feel “grrrr…”! It is therefore, important to have proper Chinese language support.
Chinese language support has many advantages as based to “Teach Yourself” text based study. The first visible advantage is that you learn the correct phonetics for your chosen dialect. Next is that you will learn the correct pronunciation. This is very important because, if you pronounce the words incorrectly, you will get an incorrect meaning and it is very natural that you will not understand a conversation so easily.
Chinese language support will basically stress of phonetics, pronunciation and the natural usage of the language and not simplified usage for easy learning. If you go for simplified usage, you will be stuck in the perimeter of bookish knowledge. For enhanced simplicity of understanding for the time being, let us take an example of English language. If I say, “I dumped it”, it will have two meanings. It may mean, I threw that away in a dustbin or it can mean I left that behind. Which one is correct? Both are correct but we need to understand the natural usage in a given context. This is what the language support does.
You can get Chinese language support online or you can also take Chinese course for learning the language in a proper way. It will definitely take time because the language is difficult and there are 40,000 characters to remember. A very well educated Chinese man will know a maximum of 7,000 characters which by itself is a huge number considering the difficulty of the language. You need to be patient when you learn Chinese.
